I don’t know how much of this is true or not true, but the political pressure on him had to be a big part of their decision. It is very clear to anyone familiar with investigations that this investigation ended when it was quashed for politics. Period. I found Comey’s press conference to be the most curious presser I have ever heard about a criminal matter. He laid out the case more than enough to establish probable cause that the law was violated and then, outside of his authority, he said he would not recommend because there was no intent.

Comey got used and he will forever (like so many around the Clinton’s) pay for the cover-up. Sadly, the damage he did to the FBI will last far beyond his lifetime. It is not fair to blame the agents for this. I would bet anything that Comey regrets the way he shut the investigation down now and the very people outraged and angry at him now are the ones who forced him to shut it down and surrender his integrity.

Investigations lead to material facts - i.e. - Huma Abedin said she had turned over all emails in her possession. Finding a large trove of emails (that likely contain classified information - don’t forget that they deleted what they wanted to hide) in the Weiner residence would be a material fact. Hillary Clinton testified before congress (a fact) that all relevant emails were returned to the State Department. The statement of Abedin alone means the existence of this would probably be a crime. The recovery of emails previously thought to be deleted that concern the people’s business would constitute a material fact showing perjury before congress and lying to the public. I also wonder how the supposed “pay to play” investigation is proceeding and you have to ask if that investigation factored into Comey’s decision. Perhaps he now comprehends the endless mess the Clinton’s will bring to the White House (and his agency) and that other crimes are in play.

Most have forgotten the Clinton camp cheered such an FBI announcement when Billy Jeff got elected. That was the accusation of Bush I being involved in Iran-Contra shortly before the election and many believed it may have costs Bush I the election (along with Perot). The rats were desperate after 11 years out of power - people have forgotten that. Bush was later cleared of any wrong doing or involvement, but the damage was done. The Clinton’s have never said a bad word about the false accusation that many believed was a political dirty trick because they know it helped put them in the White House.

I hope they get every email there ever was. I think congress will have no choice other than to find a special prosecutor now because FBI and the top echelons of the DOJ have shown they cannot be trusted with it. The investigators wanted a grand jury - the politicians refused one. The best thing to do would be to assign the investigators from the FBI to the special counsel and let it go proceed with a grand jury.

My theory, confirmation possible by Tuesday: The Grand Jury that was assembled to get charges against Weiner was going to be asked Monday by NY or US prosecutors to issue some combination of search warrants, subpoenas, and criminal charges against members of Clinton's inner circle. Comey got a heads up from someone, and his letter to congress and other actions since Friday are some form of Damage control. The next week will prove my speculation to be either true in part or completely off base.

I don’t have any confidence in a special prosecutor. The Republicans will select someone that the Democrats want. The whole thing will be a sham.

Wikileaks is our best chance to out these criminals.
