There’s one thing we’re not considering. Huma and Weiner are still legally married. Neither can testify against each other.

No, they may testify against each other.

They may not be compelled to testify against each other.

I think that, depending on the state, there’s no prohibition. Either one MAY testify against the other if he wants to. Can’t be forced to, though. (Not sure about Federal.)
