“There were still a few sane Democrats back in 1991”
My dad, a world war two vet, and everybody he knew were Democrats in the ‘60’s. They were for low taxes, less government and all the things a moderate Republican would want now. They didn’t move to the right. The Democratic party moved from middle of the road to just left of the socialist party. He died a Republican. (Since then, though, I suspect he has consistently voted the Democratic ticket.)
Yeah, somehow I think we’ll all be “voting” in presidential elections for the next 200 years!
