If the NYPD Vice Squad saw anything damaging to Hillary in Weiner/Huma’s laptop, like selling USGOV policy to the highest bidder, or leaving top secret info laying around, or Huma sending secret info to the MusBros, you can be sure the DOJ is doing its best to try to intimidate them into silence.
I’ll bet dollars to donuts that the feds are spending the weekend trying to get NYPD cops to sign NDAs and threatening to put them in prison if they say anything about any damaging info they saw about Hillary.
The FBI is involved from the get go, not just NYPD Vice because the Wiener investigation is FEDERAL in addition to local. One underage girl was in another state. It’s the US Attorney who issued a federal subpoena for the Wiener devices. These FBI agents would have seen the email info when the devices were seized & Comey was very afraid they (after the sham Clinton ‘investigation’) would leak it if he didn’t say something first.

CNN reported Thursday afternoon that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New York has issued a subpoena for cell phones and other records belonging to Mr. Weiner, a former Democratic U.S. representative who looked destined to be New York mayor.
“The FBI and the New York Police Department have opened preliminary investigations,” CNN wrote, about charges that surfaced earlier this week in the Daily Mail.

I don’t know how much involvement NYPD has in an interstate communication with a minor for immoral purposes case, but I am sure there are many task force officers on the ICAC (internet crimes against children). However, I will give you a clue well known to everyone inside law enforcement about New York City.
NYPD - not the FBI runs the city. Period. They are hands down the most powerful police department in the nation. They are larger than the FBI and they could care less what the FBI thinks of anything. They are protected by a stalwart union and independent minded bosses.
Just FYI. They don’t need the feds.
