She argued to Comey that he should follow the Justice Department's practice of not taking actions that could influence the election

So what about his July press conference? Didn't that influence the election? These people are too much. :-)

IOW, incumbent politicians seeking re-election should be above the law, unless they are Republicans, of course.

Indeed. One could argue that his statements in July did and will have more impact on this election than what he wrote and released yesterday.

At this point, the election is what it is. Most people will be voting for the person they decided on in October (if not before then like, say, July).

Lynch met with Bill Clinton on the tarmac. Comey conducted a sham investigation and decided that Hillary's crimes were not sufficient to warrant a conviction. He gave five people immunity and no one suffered any consequences for the mishandling of classified information. Comey never convened a grand jury. Comey did not conduct an investigation according to the established rules.

Lynch ceded the decision to prosecute to the FBI. The FBI should never have been given such authority. It is a DOJ decision. Lynch and Comey influenced the results of an election by not indicting Hillary Clinton. They gave her and her staff virtual exoneration for their crimes.
