The FBI director, who is an employee of the Justice Department and is 'covered under its policies,' gave top officials at the Justice Department advance notice prior to sending the letter to lawmakers, an official close to the matter said.

Four years ago, former Attorney General Eric Holder formalized a policy not comment publicly about politically sensitive investigations within 60 days of an election in a memo to all Justice Department employees.

Of course she’d do that.

From the New Yorker, By Jane Mayer , 01:25 A.M.

"Comey’s supporters argue that he had to act independently, and publicly, because Lynch had compromised herself by having an impromptu visit with Bill Clinton late in the investigation. In the ensuing uproar, Lynch promised to accept Comey’s recommendation on whether to bring charges against Clinton. But, as Miller notes, Comey’s press conference triggered a series of other events, including congressional hearings where Comey was forced to defend his decision not to recommend prosecution. Comey’s letter to Congress on Friday updated his earlier statements that the Clinton e-mail investigation had ended.

God has a sense of humor. The fix was already in and Comey had gone along for the good of his career but probably regretted it, particularly as he was grilled by Congress over something he *knew* was a crime that would send anyone else but a Clinton to jail.

But Hillary is a lesbian and her lover, Huma, needed a beard to ward off rumors so the Clintons hooked her up with Huma. But Weiner couldn’t stop sexting his wanker to underaged girls and he hit on a teenaged girl in North Carolina, across state lines, making that a federal crime.

So the Feds went to get evidence of Weiner’s phone hijinx which led them to his home computers that led them back to Huma which led them back to Hillary! Tell me God’s not in control of this little comedy. A bunch of unrelated little events and now the Hillary Dike has busted at the perfect time to swing the election.

And, just imagine, if Bill and Lynch hadn’t conspired to hush all this up, there might have been time to replace Hillary with another Democrat who might have easily defeated Trump. But NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Her Heinous thought she had slipped the noose and was home free!

This is exactly how second and third world autocratic banana republic states like Pakistan and Egypt operate.

I call bullsh_t on this article.
What Comey now has implicates LL as well. He would never have told her before hand. Think for a minute, what Clinton via that missing information has implicates everyone.
Comey is fired if either Trump or Cankles becomes president. This never would have happened if all was well or could be swept under the rug.
Someone forced his hand.

Obama will pardon her just before the election. Mark my words.

The excuse will be, "Enough with the partisanship! I'm taking this off the table!"

I guess all the Queen’s horses and all the Queen’s men and women can’t put Hillary back together again.

If they can’t keep lil ol’ Comey under control Hillary doesn’t need any of the rest. Don’t trip over bumps in Fort Marcy Park.

The RATS are trying to save themselves and throwing each other under the bus. That’s what’s going on here. They know the worst is yet to come.

“Four years ago, former Attorney General Eric Holder formalized a policy not comment publicly about politically sensitive investigations within 60 days of an election in a memo to all Justice Department employees. “

Of course the Obama administration would establish a policy to hide and withhold pertinent information from voters in the course of an election.

According to one radio pundit the reason he reopened the case was because he had told Congress the case was complete.

When the new batch of emails was found, he had no choice but to reopen since the case was not complete and to notify Congress of that fact.

Whether or no there was something significant found or not is not germane. But “a significant finding” makes for nice spin. Don’t hold your breath, HRC will skate again.

“Comey’s supporters argue that he had to break away from Lynch and act independently on the issue due to her compromising herself when she had an impromptu visit with former president Bill Clinton late into the investigation earlier this year.”

Well, well, her little visit backfired. Liberals never understand unintended consequences.

Lynch met with Bill Clinton. Comey sent a letter to Congress.

I’d say Lynch is the one leaving the impression that she’s interfering in an election.

Yeah, Comey screwed the Donks!

If only he had announced an indictment referral when he held that presser 126 days before the election, the 'Rats could have nominated a winner at their convention. Right, Plugs?

All's well that ends well.

OK, so the question is: Did Comey tell Lynch exactly what information generated his letter to Congress and the reopening of the investigation. WIll she arrange another “chance meeting” or call or text or other communication with Bill Clinton? I’d keep an eye on her and all her ‘devices’ 24/7 for the next few weeks.
