I just got home for work and did not get to follow all of the speculation here on FR (or anywhere else) beyond reading some articles.
Forget about Comey - if the NY Slimes is right and this came about because of the Weiner sexting scandal it is obvious what happened.
They searched the computers at the Weiner residence for Chester the Molester evidence and it is likely Huma used one of them for emails so it may have a cache of all the emails she received and sent. We need to remember that Huma was often cc’d on emails to Hillary or Huma received emails asking her to forward them to Clinton. The FBI said they could not recover any other emails from the known servers from Clinton, but they may have just hit the jackpot thanks to the Weiner’s proclivities. There would be NO WAY to ignore these if an investigator found them because it is classified information.
I don’t see any way they can make Huma the scapegoat for this because they denied the existence of the emails and/or said all of them had been deleted, but it’s impossible to scapegoat her without involving her boss. If she was dumb enough to not destroy any computer she used for email during the Sec. of State days she may have just sunk the whole ship. Remember how they destroyed all the devices? They now have one (or more) that was not destroyed. Oops.
The investigation is going to be very interesting, but unlike others and the speculation, I think Comey is in a position where he had no choice. These would be different FBI investigators than the ones who worked on the email system. In theory - every classified email on her home computer is a felony count. It’s almost enough to make you feel sorry for Huma....... wonder how upset she is with the Weiner now?
