Occam's Razor, FRiend, Occam's Razor

What's left of Comey's nuts are in a YUGE vise.

Unless he's a complete fool, he has to know that there's no way to weasel out of this.

There are many career agents (with their integrity still intact and rage boiling) that sooner or later will blow the lid off of all of this if he doesn't come at least semi-clean.

Ever heard of 'fragging' ?

Without some public honesty over this national fustercluck, Comey will surely be metaphorically fragged from within.

There's simply too much out there to be ignored any longer .. and there's even more yet to come !

Let’s drill a little deeper here.

Within every Federal agency there are two types of employees—political appointees whose appointments expire on January 20—and career (civil service) worker bees and managers below them.

Career employees are always suspicious of political appointees. They know the political appointees want to make a mark, often going through a revolving on the way out to a career of private sector riches or lobbying or some university sinecure.

Comey’s refusal to prosecute on the emails destroyed what little credibility the political types had with the career folks.

He endangered the credibility of the FBI and effectively undermined every ongoing investigation since witnesses are much less likely to cooperate when they view the FBI as political and corrupt.

Enter the Weiner cellphone (sex case).

Career agents handle the case, get the data off the cell phone.

Career folks make lots and lots of copies—send them all over the place, including offshore to people they trust.

Then they send them up the line to Comey.

Somebody had to deliver the message—we are about to dump the data—Wikileaks or just direct dump from a foreign server.

Comey had no choice—he had to announce the investigation was in progress or all the data would have been released (which may well include some real and significant national security stuff which under normal circumstances should never be released).

I still don’t believe Hillary will ever be indicted—but that is another issue.

Wikileaks releases the entire thing and the FBI has no place to hide.
