how in the hell does an Attorney General of the United States, THE LEAD LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL, plead the Fifth Amendment?
That's just beyond belief..

On another thread it was suggested, and I heartily agree, that congress should pass a law. If any public official under investigation pleads the 5th to any question, their employment with any government agency at any level is automatically terminated, they forfeit any pension and other benefits and they are disqualified from ever working for any government agency again.
They may not be prosecuted, but they have broken the public trust and are indirectly admitting that they either committed crimes or are aware of crimes being committed.
