Maybe our people can fund raise to create ‘freedom keeper’ villages where homeless veterans can be cared for by people who care about them, rather than the heartless government who seizes taxes from the citizens at gunpoint?

Honestly, thinking that the government is the solution is always going to be a problem, even when it is sensibly re-directing money we don't have from going to support those trying to kill us to those who have served to protect us.

I agree. I believe the government should get out of the helping everyone business.

Government should tax us less so we can give more to churches and other organizations that would help people in need. Government is not good at giving out money.
