Two of us in my family have received about 10 total calls in the last several weeks and have hung up on each one. If I knew it was really a political survey and not an entro to asales call, I might respond. But because so many sales pitches are camouflaged as opinion surveys, including the letters I get from the GOP, I just won’t spend the time to find out.

A year or two ago, I took a call from a “political poll” and answered the first few questions... then I began to think about how you never really know who’s asking or how they will spin it, how the questions can be manipulated to skew the opposite of what you actually believe, etc. So I said “nevermind” and hung up. Now, I don’t pick up any call unless it’s a known person on the other end, landline OR cell. Whoever knows me will leave a message.
