LOS ANGELES (AP) Los Angeles police have arrested a man suspected of using a sledgehammer to destroy Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Officer Andrew Chambers says Jamie Otis was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of felony vandalism.
Otis told several media outlets after Wednesday's pre-dawn attack that he originally intended to remove the star. He says he wanted to auction it off to raise funds for the 11 women accusing the presidential candidate of groping them.

Send the case to a crack FBI prosecution team.

“Charges will be dismissed after the election.”
Maybe even dropped before the election or at the very least reduced to a misdemeanor
If it goes to court, I'm sure there will be ups and downs during the trial, but with the Otis Elevator money, he will come out on top.

It would be hilarious if the judge fined him to pay Juanita Broaddrick directly - that will never happen, though. But if Otis ends up having to pay Trump then Trump can then fork it over to Clinton sexual assault victims with the compliments of Jamie Otis. Or perhaps Mr. Trump can sue him and do that.

....I forgot to mention that I feel like this BACKFIRED against Team Hillary because the average American is sick of these VIOLENT acts of intolerance by Democrats.
The message here, along with the O'Keefe revelations of Foval and Creamer is that Hillary supporters are VIOLENT. This can't possibly HELP her in the least bit.

Cut him some slack; his family has gone through a lot of ups and downs.

As usual, stuff like this never sees the light of day in the Tampa Bay Times. If it was Hillary’s star, it would be a banner headline.

It was not Trump’s property.

Good point but it would be great if some way were found to divert Otis money paid for any reason connected to this incident to Clinton assault victims. Maybe Trump could volunteer to say a good word on his behalf to the Judge if he donates to them.

The article in the Los Angeles Daily News reads like a propaganda piece. Totally sympathetic towards him with sub-headlines of; “Why did you do this?”, “What would you say to Mr. Trump?”, “Do you plan to vote for Hillary Clinton?” and “Was it worth it?” In short, other than the headline of “Man who vandalized Donald Trumps star speaks out: I was just so fed up” describing him as a vandal, it makes him into a ‘local hero’! Sheesh, what blatant, unmitigated bias! Typical LEFT MSM in the tank!

I googled "Jamie Otis" and I got this picture. Glad to know that the suspect is a different person.

I hear this guy has money. His [funds] should compensate not only for its repair, but for its future guardians. He can start with the homeless guy who guarded it earlier today:
