This is malarkey.... I have hip and back pain and if some steps/stairs aren’t standard construction, it really hurts to step up in a way that’s normal. Our daughter’s front stoop steps are like that and the stairs to the second floor and from the garage/basement are the same. There is no way I can climb stairs the way I did for years. Of course, age is a big factor - hence the pain to begin with. We are having a retaining wall rebuilt at our house and the contractor measured the steps from the ground up and the existing ones are not standard construction so I can’t use them without pain.
And for all you young whippersnappers here (are there any?), your day will come and you won’t be so quick to judge others regardless how much we despise them...
