The eurozone is turning into a poverty machine
Telegraph (UK) ^ | 24 October 2016 | Matthew Lynn

We are all tediously aware of how the euro-zone has been a financial disaster. But it is now starting to become clear that it is a social disaster as well. What often gets lost in the discussion of growth rates, bail-outs and banking harmonisation is that the eurozone is turning into a poverty machine.

As its economy stagnates, millions of people are falling into genuine hardship. Whether it is measured on a relative or absolute basis, rates of poverty have soared across Europe, with the worst results found in the area covered by the single currency.

Bingo - crucial facts post to shove in the face of all liberals who wish the US could be more like Europe.
The IMF recently posted alarming report that the world’s debt has reached an All Time High of $152 Trillion dollars!
“Socialism sounds great til you runout of other people’s money”

And look at how socialism has screwed up European demographics?
The majority of European men and women age 18 - 34, still live with their parents!
Socialism robs jobs, wealth and independence which are key deciding factors for starting a family.
With total taxation rates in excess of 60%, non wonder young adults still live with their parents.
Socialism leads to demographic cultural suicide!

UNPOSSIBLE. Admitting millions of uneducated third world refugees is the fastest way to economic growth. We have been told so by politicians.

Obviously they need lots more immigration and lots more socialism. Just do that and I guarantee that within a few years all their problems will be resolved.

‘uneducated’... AND unassimilable. Don’t forget that these are people from VERY backward parts of the world...it’s the KEY point. They have absolutely NO ability or inclination in assimilating. In fact, the whole idea of assimilation is anathema to them. HOW the he(* does anyone expect that would work out?

I was talking to a German associate a few days ago and the topic came up. When I asked why the cultural suicide he gave the usual “we need the workers.” When I stated that they ALL go on public assistance and they won’t work. He replied that if there is any country that can do it it’s Germany. I just said “these people are illeterate in their own language and have been burning their shelters and bringing their turd world with them. Are there a lot of Germans that speak Urdu who will be able to teach these people both Urdu, German, AND how to have a job?”

“Good point.”

The Euro was a very good idea that was corrupted by the Europeans.

Silly to blame the currency.
