The Obama administration is facing criticism and ridicule after a bizarre outburst by the John Kerry-led State Department urging Hungarian authorities to prop up a defunct Communist Party propaganda organ. In an official statement, the Obama administration, which recently attacked media diversity in the United States, echoed discredited conspiracy theories pushed by communists and called on anti-communist Hungarian officials to prop up the bankrupt newspaper supposedly to preserve media pluralism. But the ownership of the far-left paper, known as Nepszabadsag, wants to shut it down, citing growing financial losses and plunging circulation figures.
It was not immediately clear why the Obama administration had an interest in saving a radical left-wing propaganda organ reviled by many Hungarians who suffered under communism. The State Department bureaucrat, though, speaking for the administration, claimed it was about ensuring that Hungarians are exposed to a diversity of viewpoints. Hungarians, of course, were exposed to the savage communist viewpoint for decades, having suffered tremendously under a ruthless, murderous Soviet puppet regime that sought to quash all dissent using intimidation, torture, and murder as tools.

There is a New York Times joke in here somewhere.
There was more diversity of opinion in the Communist Hungarian press than in our media.
Ironic Obama isn’t fighting for media diversity here.
ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, FOX....I think they’re supporting communist networks just fine.
Mexican billionaire (Carlos Slim) rescued the NYT to influence American politics.
Bezos bought the Washington Post and operates it at a loss for the same reason: influence.
Stay out of it, Obama. They did not ask for, or even ask about your involvement on this issue. Don’t you have your own country you’re supposed to be running anyway? It will all be over soon, Mr. Obama. In just three and a half short months, you will be FREE to golf around the clock without any American interference whatsoever! You can do it.
But, it’s OK if AT&T buys Time Warner?
Maybe Carlos Slim should prop up the communist party organ in Hungary like he’s doing for the New York Times.
This can’t be real.
He had his nose in Honduras too. Hungary is totally against immigration so the public needs multiple views to get their head right. Obama should also then like the diversity of the Trump view instead of trashing it all the time.
It’s real. Here’s the Press Release:

This is not a joking matter.
A PINOCHET type adjustment is required to save our Republic.
Weren’t some of the ‘Fast & Furious’ arms ending up in Honduras?
Hey Zero, why not YOU buy it with your own money.. Hungary, tell Zero to go F himself, we do...of course, we are deplorables!
It’s funny....no one ever brings up the whole thing in the first year or two of the administration. Almost forgotten with Honduras.
You could have written a 300-page book on that episode and the various comments/screw-ups of the administration.
But all of this goes back to foreign policy being conducted by some external group outside of the State Department, and funneled into the White House and onto Secretary of State.
Wants to destroy media pluralism in his own country.
Wants to foster commumism in others.
Commie muslim label vindicated again.
SPOT ON!
Soros has his finger in this pie, somewhere.
Frank smiles.
