Do we have a plan to deal with this? Watching for the buses is one thing, but fraud at the booth is pretty hard for the unprofessional to spot.

If this gets messed up too bad, won’t that give obama and the Dems an excuse to ‘stay put until things get straightened out’?

Look at the miracle of modern day microchip technology, what our cell phones can do and in 2016 they STILL have giant voting machines that cannot reliably sort data and record a vote as it was cast? Ridiculous.

I’ve been in I.T. for over 30 years and these “updates” don’t just change on their own. The programmers need to be hunted down and strung up.

It seems you're stuck thinking in Democrat vs. Republican; that's not the case anymore: it's patriot vs. globalist.
And you'd better believe the Republican party is in the tank for globalists, that's a big reason that as-a-party they were/are against Trump who is a nationalist and therefore against their "new world order" -- it also explains why they so desperately tried to push Cruz: he's obviously ineligible under the NBC requirement, and that requirement is so distinctly, obviously nationalistic in nature that (in the globalist's mind) it must be destroyed. (It's also why they put forward Obama and McCain, both of whom are quite questionable [at best] under the NBC requirement.)

Agree with you. Taking a picture of the screen doesn’t mean the voting machine posted the data to its internal counters correctly, i.e. screen shows vote for Trump then software “glitch” posts a vote for Hillary on every nth vote or whatever trigger is used. Everybody is happy and none the wiser. There is nothing to reconcile the voting machine total if a recount is requested. So the voting procedure needs to be changed to trust but verify.

So why doesn’t the software be upgraded to print out a traditional paper ballot, verification code, and time stamp for a voter to check for accuracy. Then a voter can verify the ballot before placing it in a traditional ballot box to be counted and reconciled to the machine totals, and if a recount is required the paper ballots can be used as verification of the machine count. Under this scenario, the voter is only using the voting machine to create an automated ballot for himself that he can verify is correct before placing it in the ballot box (remember, face up like you are reading it).

Of course this would result in additional cost for the paper and ballot boxes, and more effort for the election judges and clerks. But what to hell, when has that ever been an issue with government.

Finally, I know this procedure would be called racist because the voter has to read and verify the ballot he printed and find the ballot box on his way out the door.

As a retired software programmer and IT consultant for many, many years that my two bits.

Nothing is more important than ensuring only eligible voters vote, and that votes count as directed by the voters.

Why do we need fancy electronic voting machines with proprietary and hidden software that can be modified or hacked, when paper ballots that can be counted, overseen, spot checked, and retained for audits are much more accurate. GW Bush started this with the electronic machines. I never accepted the need and cost except as more control by Party elites and payoffs to cronies. We do not need immediate results for the corrupt media.

A bank would never ever operate with untrustable unverifiable software. Why do we tolerate it with elections?

This is from 2014 but involves the Diebold counter which is what my county uses to count the paper ballots. Has this issued been corrected? The Election Commissioner stated he didn’t know how the variables of the machine could be manipulated. They rely on the vendors, which is a huge problem. Nobody or vendor should have that much control over our government and election process. Triple counting of ballots from random sources and critiquing of the memory card at every step of the process. Chain of command for all stages of this process.

Someone in every precinct needs to download the code from each voting machine. That’s the only way to sort this out if there’s a problem. If you have the code you can figure out if it’s been compromised.
