Chelsea was very naïve and tried to clean up the corruption in the Clinton Foundation, as far as we can tell from the Podesta emails.
I would not totally rule out Chelsea and her Stanford friends as a source for the Podesta email leak, btw.
I know it sounds crazy but her parents pulled a big time bait and switch on her—I think she honestly believed the Clinton Foundation was a charitable foundation and slowly learned that it was a skim and scam operation.
Just one more comment on this—it is a _lot_ easier to hack emails when you have someone in the building inside the firewall.
I think the fake email names she was using rule out that generous view.
People who are dumber than s$&@ know who they are, Chelsea is among them, but she knows know nobody will challenge her.
