I know! I’m in Chicagoland, born and raised (left for a bit but back now) and as much as I am a Sox fan, I do root for the Cubbies.
My Dad has a World Series book that has all of them, with details, from the very first. I pulled it out the other night when I was there watching the game with him (as he rooted for the Dodgers, lol) because I couldn’t remember the dates.
I want it so bad for all the fans, as a Sox fan, I have to say that when they won, it was such a great feeling! I told a friend that I couldn’t remember feeling so good and excited about something that I had NOTHING to do with!
I lived downstate (central Illinois) at about the Mason Dixon line, where the imaginary divide of Cubs and Cards fans exists.
Cubbies up 2-0, bottom of the first... nobody out- man on third in scoring position. Holy Cow!
I’m from Chicago too. WHite Sox, but this year’s cubs play like the sox used to play.
I have a place on Chestnut downtown.
Working in Lagrange, GA.
I’ve lost some friends, on bad terms with my brother over Trump. The other night when Charles Krauthammer came out to say he wasn’t voting for Trump, and in fact never was going to, it really upset me.
We need a miracle in the next couple weeks to turn the election in a massive way to Trump.
