Donald Trump's national political director, Jim Murphy, said Thursday he is stepping back from the Republican nominee's campaign.
"I have not resigned but for personal reasons have had to take a step back from the campaign," Murphy said, as first reported by Politico.
Murphy was brought on to the campaign in June and is a close friend of Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

Let him step back while we march forward.
DONALD TRUMP/MIKE PENCE 2016
Hope it’s not because they found some “scandal” with him.
He previously managed floor operations at three GOP conventions, and was an adviser to Bob Dole’s 1988 and 1996 presidential campaigns.
Trump continues to upgrade his advisers; he knows who will be with him in January.
I believe it when these political professionals mention personal reasons. Their family lives are often the worst you could imagine.
Family lives of political professionals and full time activists are truly painful. Mom or dad is just never home for months on end, with maybe a pass thru every few weeks. The at-home parent has the full burden. It’s really rough and most families, if they survive intact, have the pain and anger for years after any campaign ends. I’m not sure, tho, at this late date in the campaign that the family is his only reason for ‘stepping back.’
Yea,who knows. But that isn’t stopping the wild speculation I’ve seen out there.
Announce another National Political Director.
From what I understand Der stand he has a child fighting bone cancer.
Thanks for that info. Prayers for his child and family.
His child has bone cancer? You can’t get much more serious than that and still expect to live a normal life. I’m sure his mind is on the suffering of his child then.
He must have received an or else memo from the DNC.
You have a nice family no?.
