You raise a good question. Would the world be better off if huge portions of it now spoke Japanese or German as opposed to Arabic and Mexican?
(Don’t even try to give me crap about speaking Mexican. Every Spanish Speaker knows just what I mean. I worked with a guy from Argentina for a while who made the hospital bring in translators for Mexicans and Puerto Ricans. I asked him why he did that as I knew he spoke Spanish. He said what they speak is NOT Spanish! LOL)
