Better yet Churchill’s answer to Ribbentrop when told they were Germany’s ally; “ We had them in the last war, I guess its your turn now.” Hey, Italians, just keep making those recipes with that delicious “sauce”, and keep out of our politics. Our Government is the oldest lasting one around, how many Governments has Italy had? Io mezzo Italiano, I want Trump as president and a cup of coffee with a canolli.
Thank God Italy was in the Axis. The Axis might have won if Italy wasn’t in it.
Because the Italians were routed in the Balkans, the Germans had to delay Operation Barbarossa by six weeks. That made all the difference because they couldn’t get to Moscow before the winter.
