how about taking out the cartels in Mexico

Fine. I've been advocating that since before they were called "cartels" and the more familiar "Sinaloa Mafia" name was used.

That goes back about 40 years.

As DR knows now, Davis-Monthan AFB has a large A-10 wing there and it would be relatively easy to target large scale smuggler routes in Sonora and even further South into Sinaloa itself.

We won't have to worry about weddings, there are enough private armies, poppy fields, marijuana plantations, illicit tunnels under the border and armed people smugglers that they can stay busy for weeks.

And Los Mafiosos would get the message. If there's one thing they respect it's strength.

PS knocking a few of the Fuerza Aerea Mexicana helicopters out of sky as they try to cross into the U.S. would help too - they do that to see if the Gringo air force is man enough to intercept them and push them back. Since that hasn't happened since about 1972, would really be helpful if we did it just enough to convince them that it's a really bad idea.

I wonder we don’t hear this more often.

Are people that afraid of the Cartels? Or are they at the top of the pay off list?
