I really don't know why we ever thought highly of journalists.

We now know that even the vaunted Walter Cronkite was a lefty stooge.

Orson Welles made Citizen Kane based on Hearst, a total scumbag publisher. And that was back "in the good old days".

Not that long ago papers had 'Democrat' or 'Republican' in the name and weren't ashamed of their bias.

Now the only difference is that our media can be owned by foreigners like Murdoch and Slim.

"I really don't know why we ever thought highly of journalists."

Because the journalists told us to think highly of them.
