That’s right.
Everything has been so eclipsed by the accusations and mudslinging that it’s getting hard to keep focused on what happened just a couple weeks ago.
But then again, that’s probably their plan.
There are certainly grounds for a civil lawsuit, but more importantly there are clearly grounds for asserting criminal charges for violating federal and state laws by accessing and publishing private tax returns. The New York Times and every individual involved is potentially criminally and civil liable for their involvement.
