Wells Fargo's embattled CEO John Stumpf has resigned, effective immediately, as the nation's second-largest bank is roiled by a scandal over its sales practices. The San Francisco bank said Wednesday that Stumpf will also relinquish his title as chairman. Its chief operating officer, Tim Sloan, will succeed Stumpf as CEO.

WFC up 2% AH. Picked up some shares last week when all of the news was wall to wall negative. Nobody died. All customers will get their money back. This is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, a great chance to pick up a good company at a discount.
