There are many indicators the leaked 2005 NBC/Universal Trump video may have been a coordinated GOPe (UniParty) plot to remove the threat to their influence and affluence posed by the candidacy of Donald Trump.
Here’s a summary of stories, interviews and excerpts related to this issue. [I’ll weigh in with my take after all of the information] Beginning with Lou Dobbs interviewing Jerry Falwell Jr.:
Jerry Falwell, Jr.: The whole story just fell in my lap about six or eight weeks ago. I got a phone call from someone who is very close to the top establishment candidates and the Republican Party, people who wanted to be president over the last four or five years.
He told me, “Jerry something strange is going on. They’re meeting regularly. And they tell me it is a certainty that Donald Trump will not be the nominee on November 8th. And I called one of Trump’s attorneys and I told him about it. There were no more details than that. So there’s nothing anybody could do.
But then when I saw what happened this weekend, and I saw how quickly all the usual suspects jumped on it and started to call on Trump to step down as the nominee… It was just too much of a coincidence… It really tells me it was some sort of conspiracy. I went to the proper authorities and told them what I was told. It’s probably too late to prosecute anybody… It’s not only despicable. I think it maybe rises to the level of criminal behavior…
…I think it rises to the level of people who were candidates in the last four years or five years. And so it’s very high level.

This is why there needs to be a reckoning with the Talk Radio/Pundit/Politician GOP Establishment #Never Trump traitors after the Election. People need to lose their shows and their positions over this bit of childish idiocy. There will be no "kiss and make up" this time. They actively betrayed every poltical value they claim to stand for. They are the margin of victory and they are directly responsible if Hillary wins.
This has all the earmarks of a Bush/Romney takedown attempt.
The Cheap Labor Express Republicans have tried everything to stop Trump from giving the voters the ability to stop the illegal alien inundation that they have been enabling for 30 years.
In every election since the last amnesty we have had amnesty vs amnesty elections.
It was not accidental.
This time they got Trumped and they are royally pissed off about it.
They have purposefully been blocking the citizens from doing anything about the flooding of the country with fraudulently documented foreigners.
The Bush family is largely responsible for the 30 million illegal aliens we have here.
They do not want the citizens to reverse their plan to turn the USA into North Mexico.
It’s almost impossible to embarrass Donald Trump — which is a good thing in these circumstances.
I just don’t understand this Bush plan, unless they also plan in the wake of all this to quit the GOP and all become Democrat. They sure won’t be getting GOP votes from these amnestites.
As a conservative, I regretfully predict that I may never vote Republican again should Trump lose.
Since I will never vote Democrat, guess I will be out if the voting by 2017.
Donald has a very thick skin and that’s good.
But this stuff has got to be embarassing, Trump even said it was embarassing. No sane person would subject themselves to this. Candidates are either evil or in Trump’s case insanely in love with America.
I don’t think so. Billy Bush might have mentioned the tape to his Bush relatives but given how badly they wanted Jeb! to get the nomination, I don’t think they could have just sat on it until now if they’d had access to it at the time it might have saved Jeb!s primary bid. The Bushes are not known for being really good at that strategery thing - they are more about “Mission Accomplished”.
If they’d had the tape they would have used it. Sundance is the one who laid out the elaborate plan for securing the nomination for Jeb! so he should know this better than anyone.
[ If Trump wins, watch for the same cabal of GOPe to collude with the Dems to gin up some sort of “impeachable offense”. ]
Oh, that talk is already happening! They are already looking for reasons to impeach him, and he hasn’t even won yet!
My god, if they had put a FRACTION of this effort against Obama, we wouldn’t be in the s**tstorm we are in now!!

Add McCain to this list too. He almost tripped over himself to be the first to denounce Trump after the weekend video. He knew it was coming and was in the mix engineering it. #No More McCain!!!
I thought it was strange that Pence was going to be at a rally in WI with Ryan this last Saturday. Ryan hasn’t done anything to help the ticket.
Now it sure looks like the plan was to rally around Pence as the standard barrier.
The GOP should be asking Ryan to resign.
Yes, per the interview, the GOP had planned a coup with everyone un-endorsing Donald then put Pence at the top of the ticket. Knowing they would lose and set up a Ryan/Rubio run in 2020. They thought Trump would step down, but since he didn’t the GOP doesn’t know what to do. I blame the GOP Elites if Trump loses. We were going into the debate with the polls up and then the leaked 2005 tape.
Now I wonder if the understanding that the GOP was behind the leak will not fuel a larger support for Trump in order to Throw them all out.
PS: Note at the end of the interview, he talks about a candlelight vigil for Trump in NYC at Trump Tower to show their support. WOW

Trump was the ‘middle finger’, the ‘stick in the eye’ to the GOP after their selected candidate, Jeb!, was soundly thrashed by Trump with help from ‘we the people’. Many of us were looking for a strong leader, not part of the corrupt political class & someone who would FIGHT rather than do the usual ‘Romney Rollover’ (exposing where their balls used to be) at the slightest push back from the media/DemonRats.
I think this attempted ‘coup’ helps Trump because it’s so obvious that the sabotage, subversion, dirty tricks, etc. by the ever desperate GOP has been going on since Trump won the nomination fair & square. He’s the man of personal courage, the FIGHTER, we’ve been waiting for. To win, Trump has to defeat ILLary, the media AND the GOP ..... a lot of people want to see that happen.
Or Bill Clinton.
