Do the rally!

We homeschooled our three kids up to about high school. Other than lots of reading and treating them with honesty, we did a half-baked job of educating them. Maybe 5 hours a week, on average, over the course of 10 years. How did they do in school? Excellent! Shocked me, actually. I figured they'd have an age/education disadvantage.

Kids (and adults) learn very fast, on a situational basis. I learned more in 3 months on the job than I did in 4 years of engineering, by way of concrete example. I needed the education background, but basically NONE of what I did on the job depended on what I had learned in school. I needed the ticket to get the job.

Homeschooling is the best education. I'm not sure but I heard the last 5 spelling bee and geography bee winners were homeschooled. Besides, where else can you go to school in pajamas? :-)

I love homeschooling!!
