When it first broke I suspected it was Romney/Ryan/Bush with Mitt being the ringleader.
I saw McMullen (Mitt’s stand-in) in an interview several weeks ago. They kept asking him why he was in the race when he stood no chance at all of winning. He said he was in it to keep Trump from winning.
I gathered from that interview that their plan was to keep anyone from getting enough electoral votes so the choice would be up to the House (Paul Ryan).
Then when they finally figured out Trump was winning they had to go with the nuclear option. Hence the tape.
They may try to throw it to the House (Ryan) if they can not drag Clinton into a permanent lead where needed.
The WPost is suggesting over on Daily Caller that they do away with the third debate, (since Hillary GOT HER AZZ KICKED).
She doesn’t want to go through that burn again, and if she is in the lead next debate time, she will not want any curious questions on her corruption from the mods either.
The DCaller suggests she will look “weak” if she wriggles out of it, however.
