I wouldn’t be surprised if this were true. I also wouldn’t be surprised that this is a lie to keep Trump off topic for another day.
Ryan should fire him, immediately. Else, and maybe as well, Republicans in the House should demand he step down as speaker. Prebius should ask his dear Wisconsin friend to step down for undermining the party, for being a traitor. Trump should demand both. If Prebius won’t act, then he should go as well.

Before I get flamed, someone tell me what the strategy would have been for Ryan - hope that would have chased Trump from the race? He had to have known that Trump would never bow out and yet he would want to start this media feeding frenzy with this tape for what? I’m hopes of causing down-ballot loses?
I hate Ryan like anyone else but this strategy doesn’t add up to me, even for a terrible strategist like Ryan. If R’s had access to it they would have dumped it during the primaries or right before the convention.
