Rush is right (again).

We have two parties. One is highly socialistic, corrupt, anti-American, anti-police, and anti-white.

The Republican party and Donald Trump are imperfect. But they are the only game in town. Donald is far better than Hillary. The Republican party is far better than the Democratic party. We should all unite and vote straight party ballots - Trump to dog catcher, or, in Rush’s words, what good are we?

Our system only supports two parties, if we had a parliamentary style government where the majority party or a coalition of parties to get a majority appointed our chief executive officer. Then and only then would going third party make sense. You could even go 4th, 5th to nth party if you want to. Yes someone will say there have always been “other parties” and that’s true. These “others” form around an “issue” if the “issue” reaches a critical mass of support the issue is then taken up by a majority party. The third party then withers away to nothing or irrelevancy. The GOP was one such party. It took the issue of slavery & the subsequent implosion by the Whigs over that issue The GOP then moved into that vacuum, and back to two majority parties. The Founding Fathers designed a system that minimized “factions” - what they called political parties. The minimum number and it not be a one party state is two! No matter how you slice and dice issues and form political groups around them over time our system will force it down to two parties. This is because ultimately there is only one issue and its the same issue that divided the Federalist and the Anti-Federalist - How much power should the central government have?

The primary problem with the GOP is “careerist politicians”. Once they have been in DC say 10 years their interests shift from supporting their local constituents to supporting the Beltway apparatchiks. Many don’t even realized they have done it. That’s why I support term limits. These creatures must be sent home for a time to experience the “fruits” of their governing wisdom. Maybe they would eve get a job in the private sector.

All going 3rd party does is slide you into irrelevancy.
