What did all the youngins in the room with you think?
My apolitical teen doesn’t say much. He hears me discuss these two and I believe he will vote Trump as he did in the primary. Poor kid was freeping in his stroller with me, been to many rallies etc, grew up with talk radio in his ear, he just wants to focus on his music and his schoolwork.
Now, the other guy was watching with a group of his friends. Some of them are pro Clinton and some are pro Johnson. None including my son are PRO Trump. My son may vote for Trump, but he honestly thought (too tuned in to millennial thought and media) Trump was done (after the tape). He thought Trump might drop out.
I tried to explain to him Friday that what Trump said wasn’t anywhere near the level of what B Clinton has DONE, and what Hillary herself has DONE to women. But he still thought he was cooked.
So that son ended up very impressed with Trump last night. :)
By the way, we used to watch Celebrity Apprentice for years together. He was always impressed with the two priorities of Trump on that show. 1. Make decisions that lead to the best TV, and 2. End up with the absolutely correct winner. Media really gets to millennials - along with peers - because they only have 20 years of history to use. They don’t have as much knowledge that media lies, or perspective to see the really unfair bias.
