OPTO-RECTITIS n. A shitty outlook on life. Derived from optical, referring to sight or vision; and rectum, referring to the orifice from where shit is delivered to the outside world.
Decision makers at all levels (governmental, corporate, bosses, parents, etc.) must have Optical Rectitis since they seem to make some really bad decisions more often than not.
The symptoms are everywhere - too much government, failed corporations, discredited government officials and executives, corporate bailouts, public dishonesty, abuse of power, superficial strategies, and failed initiatives.
