We did some field cookin’ back in the day. Camped out on the Pacific coast of Baja, we would skorkel out to the kelp beds and spear some tasty fish, gut them at the shoreline, then stick them back on the spears and hang the spears over the pre-stoked driftwood fire. Fresher fish you will never taste.

We go the opposite way down here. Years ago,my buddy once took his hibachi grill out on the boat. It got rough but he was determined to cook burgers on the ocean even in 3-5 foot seas.
We did. One slipped off the grill onto the deck got some sea salt on it and tasted better than any burger I have ever had. Go figure!
