Unlike the Democrats who protected Clinton, no matter what -- the Republicans put the rule of law above the party.

I think you and I are basically on the same page on this one. I just worded it poorly. I was referring to Sen Goldwater, House Minority Leader Rhodes, and Sen Minority Leader Scott meeting with Nixon to confirm that he would impeached and convicted. Nixon resigned the next day.
