Mike Pence, a true Christian understands forgiveness Those that refuse to accept an apology aren’t Christians, they’re called “Politicians”

The main forgiving would be from any of the women in question Trump was describing in a personal conversation. Trump was not, say, the sitting president. Any stakeholders in his properties who got exposure from this might also be in a position to seek contrition. Outside of that, the nature of his offense is limited in scope, especially if he had no reason to expect it to be public.

I'm a Catholic. Lewd behavior (if he did some of this stuff) and lewd talk would be subject matter for sacramental confession. Non Catholic/Orthodox Christians would certainly want to repent in their hearts and pray for forgiveness.

But I will say something else that is a sin. Detraction. Now, this is a bit of a grey area because a man's character is proper subject matter for judgment by voters, and it can be argued that the tapes reflect on that judgment.

Regardless, if the TIMING of the release or the INTENT of the release was simply to take Trump down for vindictiveness or personal gain, rather then to simply inform the public, that is a SIN. If there were no ill-will, why the anonymity? There is no crime to be shielded from. Linda Tripp went public. So did Willey and Broaddrick, at great personal exposure.

He also understands the difference between some crude talk and doing actual harm....
