I’m a guy, I was born in 1954. In the 1980s, when car pooling was popular, I car pooled with 4 women for several years. Being the only guy, I stayed quiet most of the time, the girls would forget that a guy was present. Well, let me just say that guys have nothing on the girls when it comes to talk regarding the other sex and sexual encounters.
I respect that you are offended by it. I just wanted to say that it is not exclusive to guys.
You made my point that upset the other freeper. I was out of high school by 1954 and I used 1960 when things changed in PUBLIC with gutter language...You didn’t say if the women you car pooled with used the profanity that was central to the Trump threads but in the ‘80’s, I would think it pretty much went with the territory. But still in all my working years up to my retirement in 2006, I could spend time with fellow employees and visit with all my friends without wallowing in the gutter. I guess it’s no different than changes between other generations and people are free to go along or stand on their beliefs. I prefer to stand where I have all these years..
We watched things change in 1960 (when that freeper was 11 years old) but those of us raised before “women’s lib”, “burn the bras” days, didn’t participate in the revealing of our private lives. I can certainly remember high school years and working years and our private “intimate” lives remained private! After 1960, we got the Feinsteins, Boxers, Hillarys, and all the other riff raff and then came the all important Roe vs Wade that turned women into screeching banshees and then the ridiculous argument about men wanting to CONTROL WOMEN’S REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS. Never could get the connection between “reproductive” and “abortion” but guess I differed with others there also - HA!
I appreciate your post and not using the time to castigate me for not RAH RAH’ing “locker room language.”
