I remember at 15 being in the car with my grandmother who was a preachers wife. We were talking and I said...”I think the USA is end times Babylon”...I remember coming to that realization it as though it were a flash. I don’t know what the person saw but my gut says unless Obama is at the lead of the troops, I wouldn’t see him being over there. The whole of scripture argues against this dream and the Messiah being on the Earth during that scenario...perhaps the anti Messiah...maybe!

I have thought that same thought.
I’ve been familiar with Zechariah 14 and the Mount of Olives prophecy from my youth.(the southern Baptist preachers knew their Bibles and taught them well!) There actually is a fault line that runs thru it so that if it should split, the mountain would split north to south as predicted. The prophecy also says a river will flow out of it running east and west. Geologists today know that an aquifer of huge amounts of the purest water lies deep in that region the amounts of which can’t be calculated. That amount of water could amplify even the smallest of earth shocks into great Earth quakes in that region.
As for Israel itself and Ezekiel 37-39, God protects it during this battle and does so in a way that allows Israel to recognize God and the Messiah. God himself intervenes...if it were simply just nukes then the supernatural aspect of it could be denied...but the scripture says God intervenes(sends fire and burning sulfur...sound familiar?) and the various nations around the world will recognize it as being of God and after the battle Amazing wealth starts to flow into Israel! It is not the “final” battle, this battle of Gog and Magog. The “beast system” is still to arise! (stay tuned for next weeks installment..”The infernal 7 year covenant!”) God has it all prepared! It might be a part of it..I heard about the fault line and the water in 1972 from an old Billy Graham World Wide Pictures film about Israel and from other End times books at the time. Southern Baptists have been way ahead of the curve...end times speaking! They were predicting Israel’s re-emergence way before it ever happened.(So were various adherents of the Darbyists and out shoot followers)
So you might rethink the Darbyist views about the rapture!
