If you knew how to perform due diligence you'd also understand in fact 3 officers were injured and transported to the hospital, and the suspect has a background record which includes major criminal violence.

Was Chicago brass, who routinely visit injured officers in the hospital also in on this hoax? How about the paramedics who transported them? No record of that, they were all in on it too? How about the video of the attack? All a hoax? How about the vehicle which struck the business, was that also part of this elaborate hoax? How about all the witnesses, who clearly had to be present in day time big city environment like this. And I guess the physicians who treated all the hoaxsters were all in on it too!

The female officer who Chicago's top cop said didn't use her gun to defend herself for fear of a public backlash sustained a severe concussion after her attacker repeatedly slammed her head onto concrete pavement until she lost consciousness and pulled chunks of hair from her head, according to Cook County prosecutors.
The officer, a 17-year veteran, also suffered bone chips to her shoulder and wrist, a neck injury and bruises and abrasions, prosecutors said.
A second male officer also suffered severe injuries in the attack Wednesday by a Maywood man moments after he crashed a car into a Cicero liquor store, prosecutors said. The officer also sustained a concussion, a broken right thumb, a torn quadriceps muscle, cuts and bruises, they said.
A judge ordered Parta Huff held without bail on charges of attempted murder of a police officer and multiple counts of aggravated battery to a police officer. Authorities said he testified positive for PCP."

I will change my opinion IF new, contradictory information surfaces. You have failed to provide any evidence of anything other than that you have not yet learned to distrust government to a degree appropriate to the times.

The things you have to believe to take this story at face value are quite remarkable. I’m surprised you can’t spot them - at least one was immediately apparent to me.
During my years on the fire department we sometimes had 110 pound crazy or high women that took 6 people to hold down. People punch, kick, bite, scratch, spit, pull weird/crazy ninja moves, not to mention using any available object to stab or hit you with. Little people or kids can be incredible difficult to control, but big guys can be nearly impossible to take down unless you have some real bruisers on your side.
I've heard of them falling down steps, getting rear ended and any number of things to get low back, bad knee disability only to go on and run triathalons, get second jobs and live off the pension/disability wagon.

thoughtomater didn’t quite think this out. The only question in my mind is what this posters motive is here. If their only motive was to make an ass out of themselves, he/she overwhelmingly succeeded.
One last thing for you. You stating this was all an elaborate hoax, all put on by this cop and others involved, is simply ludicrous and over the top. Several others have mentioned this to you as well.

Oh boy, the bootlickers are going to be PISSED at you for documenting the very common phenomenon of police disability fraud.
For me, there were two tip-offs here.
One, the story of a female officer taking on a male suspect alone and then getting beat down for a full three minutes while other officers were present, is not credible.
Two, the immediate politicization. Where’d the “I was scared of P.R. backlash” claim come from? An unconscious woman in the emergency room? And the PD Chief took that at face value with no investigation whatsoever and ran to the press?
It was only with further research that I found that their “witness” isn’t who the report says he is and that they have surveillance video of much much better quality available at that very same location.
Fits the profile of a hoax to a “T”.
