FBI Agents are ready to revolt over the cozy Clinton Probe
The New York Post ^ | October 6, 2016 | Paul Sperry

Veteran FBI agents say FBI Director James Comey has permanently damaged the bureau’s reputation for uncompromising investigations with his “cowardly” whitewash of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information using an unauthorized private e-mail server. Agents say Comey tied investigators’ hands by agreeing to unheard-of ground rules and other demands by the lawyers for Clinton and her aides that limited their investigation. Comey has turned a once-proud institution known for its independence into one that bows to election pressure, hands out political immunity to candidates and effectively pardons their co-conspirators. He’s turned the FBI into the Federal Bureau of Immunity and lost the trust and respect of not only his agents but the country at large. He ought to step down.

Along this same line: I HOPE TO GOD TRUMP JUMPS ALL OVER THIS: This morning on the radio, Rush reiterated, on his little “60 second” thing before the news, that a Government Contractor was arrested this week and faces 11 years in prison for having classified information on his private server. What an injustice.

"You said it. Call me when one of them rears up and publicly resigns, until then they're all weasels in my eyes."

Don't call us Weasels!

>>He ought to step down.
>>Some Agents say Congress should subpoena the Agents who worked on the case and have them tell, under oath, how Director Comey tied their hands.
********************************************
Yes, and afterwards, Congress needs to charge Comey with OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE!

Where’s that goofy GIF of Jennifer Lawrence saying, “Yeah, sure.”

I don’t doubt that many within the F.B.I. are disgusted with the way the Clinton email probe was handled. I also understand that many people here feel that those agents, as a matter of principle, should resign from the bureau. While I agree with those sentiments in theory, in practice, it’s easier said than done. These agents are not independently wealthy. They have families to support, mortgages to pay, bills to pay, etc. just like the rest of us. How many of you witnessed something completely unfair or totally objectionable at your own workplace? Despite how disgusted you may have been, you didn’t quit your job and walk away, did you? It doesn’t mean you condoned what happened. As much as you would have liked to have walked out, you couldn’t afford to do that. Neither can these agents. While it would be satisfying to see the adverse publicity that would result from mass resignations over the F.B.I. probe, don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

Bullshit! That one is right up there with the “ Comey can’t be bought” one. I will believe it when I see it. The next FBI Agent to resign will be the first.

Should just the agents who were on the Hillary investigation resign, or agents working on totally unrelated cases who had nothing to do with any kind of cover-up?

Why should people who have done nothing wrong resign because the CEO of their corporation is a crook? If we all held ourselves to that standard few of us would have jobs.

Yep. A big nothing burger. When the rebels are willing to give up their perks and pensions it’s real. Until then it’s dull and boring.

They have to hang together, or they’ll hang separately.

These guys ain’t giving up their golden retirement/medical packages.

That's it in a nutshell. If you strike at the King, you must succeed or your life will be ruined. The agents have zero confidence that anything will be done. They are not willing to ruin their lives for a lost cause.

Some conservative philanthropist or institution should offer to indemnify whistleblowers who come forward if adverse action is taken on pensions and health care. Someone also needs to step forward to bankroll the lawsuits for wrongful dismissal and civil suits for damages against Clinton operatives, and Herself.

This will be a 5-10 year battle if it ever gets to court. A pro bono lawyer operating out of the back seat of his car won't cut it. A major player with deep pockets needs to step up.

Thanks.

We lived in the DC area for 7 years in the 1960’s to early 1970’s. The corruption with career G employees was bad then and worse now.

The problem with internal inbreeding and go along with the other insiders can only be handled with my suggestion with the IRS/FBI/DOJ and ???/

Another way to get rid of the bad apples, is whenever a new president is elected, every GS7 and above has to submit a signed and undated resignation letter to the new president.

Then, if those government guys/gals/its don’t perform, they are gone.
