Almost all of those receiving commutations were convicted of drug-related offenses.

Knew it. But will he pardon Hellary?

And people wonder why crime is escalating ..????

However, I believe POTUS had it planned this way .. a little parting gift .. so to speak.

Let’s see how many go back to prison soon.

Institutionalized and unemployable, I have no doubt many will. Such is the sad human waste of the War on (some) Drugs.

this may be the ONLY thing the sob has done that I support.

I concur. I hope he pardons thousands during his final days in office. Such a waste has been the War on (some) Drugs.

The Founders never thought voters would be stupid enough to vote an enemy of the Constitution and of the nation into the presidency.

Of course they never anticipated that almost 50% of the population would be living by sucking on the government teat either.

Agreed.

Let’s say a guy or a gal is fifty. Our society needs our smartest medical statisticians to devise a chart. The essence of the chart should be that a judge could use it to say.......”ok, the law says that your fifty and with no known ailments, so you have 30 years left, this means I can sentence you to a maximum of half your life expectancy”.

So, the judge sentences to 15 years. Legislators could set it at ten% if they wanted but LIFE for pot use is crazy and I have never smoked pot.

They all go back to the streets and kill more black people and take revenge on people who reported them in the first place. Black citizens: VOTE FOR TRUMP because the Demorats are only interested in you during elections. They keep promising and they deliver nothing.

With congressional sentencing guidelines the Feds can’t make deals like you’re alluding to baring a cooperating defendant thru a 5k-1 departure at sentencing or Rule 35 post sentencing if incarcerated defendant decides to fold

Been that way 30 years next year but folks still think it’s like a Law and Order episode

Not in the Feds it ain’t

I had several friends do almost 30 years for large scale marijuana smuggling with zero violence on their “jacket”

I hope that was enough for your average Freepers prisonlust

It’s GD ridiculous in my opinion

I applaud anyone terminates a nonviolent sentence after 10 calendars

The problem with cut loose is overwhelmed state courts inundated with mostly tropical African descended predatory crime

There you have a point

Average state murder charge prisoner in Mississippi on a life bit time served was 8 years

Less for splittails

Crazy I agree
