At one point in Afghanistan there was a MANPADS hit on Marine ch-47 Chinook which succeeded in making a safe emergency landing:
later they looked in one of the engine nacells and found a missile part that contain a u.s. serial number..!
That is not surprising but I never read that in any media. Ha
