I heard a commercial on the radio for a place near Chicago, where I’m from, that sells a package for a handgun, lessons and practice. Next time I’m home, I’d like to do that. Handguns are probably not legal here, though. Or at least very restricted.
I often disagree with my husband on this. He has hunting rifles, but doesn’t like concealed carry. When there’s a shooting, I argue that a trained person with a concealed weapon could save lives.
I tell him, “Don’t you want our daughter to be able to protect herself”? He doesn’t really have a response for that.
Pistols were known as “the Great Equalizer” in the West for a reason.
