“I think the 25 billion is the amount received in Tarp funds... and the 10,000 is the donation amount.”
It is. So, let’s use Barney “The” Frank as an example :
Barney Frank Bank of America $17,000.00 $15,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank Bank of New York Mellon $2,000.00 $3,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank Capital One $6,000.00 $3,555,199,000.00
Barney Frank Citigroup $7,500.00 $25,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank Fifth Third $2,000.00 $3,408,000,000.00
Barney Frank Goldman Sachs $10,000.00 $10,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank Huntington Bancshares $1,000.00 $1,398,071,000.00
Barney Frank JP Morgan $10,000.00 $25,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank KeyCorp $2,500.00 $2,500,000,000.00
Barney Frank Merril Lynch $2,000.00 $10,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank Morgan Stanley $10,000.00 $10,000,000,000.00
Barney Frank Wells Fargo $7,000.00 $25,000,000,000.00
So, let’s do some quick math. TARP money was dealt to the banks listed above.
Of the $122,453,270,000 “loaned” to these banks, Barny “The” Frank accepted $77,000 in campaign contributions. So, overall, Barney received $77K due to Tarp passing.
It doesn’t seem like a lot, but consider each and every filthy scumbucket in Congress at the time more than likely received similar “donations”. We are talking about millions of dollars pissed away to congresscritters so that they can secure their little fiefdoms using tax dollars!
Am I wrong....didn’t Bush put the TARP together?
In it’s most basic form, is it a kickback?
