“Am I wrong....didnt Bush put the TARP together?”
Not at all. He “put his free market principles aside to save the free market” ... and give Democrats that “owned” the House and Senate at the time piles of “free” money for their 2010 campaigns.
Kind of makes you want to projectile vomit, doesn’t it?
If I’m not mistaken, virtually all of TARP was paid back, but the skimming of campaign contributions was a decision made by the bank to donate to a politician.
TARP funds did not just get siphoned off by pols. Unions, teachers, liberal groups and others cashed in on the slush fund.

Interesting, thanks for the info.
It has been SOP that Dems in Congress control the implementation of legislation.
Sen Chris Dodd wrote HAVA controlled all the HAVA money that gave us all the computerized hardware and software we now trust so much.
Back in the Reagan-Bush I era Cong Rostenkowski controlled the budget of Treasury and ATF. He used ATF as his personal avengers. He controlled where and when Civil Service tests for Dept of Treasury positions were given (eg. back office of his political storefront) and who was allowed to take the tests.
Establishment GOP are so grateful to get a few scraps from the table.
You thought the executive branch controlled that?
