Mr. Trump is viewed as a strong man and leader.
“Mr Putin” couldn’t hope for a better friend in the WH than Obama, with all that he’s done to appease him, including on missile defense, the New START nuke treaty, the Obama-Putin Iran deal, Obama’s slashing of our military, etc.
Obama comes from a long line of hard left radicals who were devoted supporters of the mass-murdering Soviet Union. And KGB/FSB Putin is out to basically restore that evil empire.
But do it think Mr. Putin would RESPECT more a person of strength, such as a Donald J. Trump. I say yes.
Let’s just hope Trump’s views on Putin are mostly closely aligned with that in my post 7 than some of the things he’s said more recently, such as “he’s always been fine with Putin”, and (pp) “it’s a great honor to be praised by such a man as Putin”.
Absolutely. Obama, although more than willing to give away the store to Putin as he did indeed do, was used like a punk by him. I suspect that Putin has gotten all or most of what he's wanted and now is telling him to go ____ himself and get out of his way.
Putin's true aim is to gain a foothold in the strategic, oil-rich Middle East. That in addition to all else he's doing in Eastern Europe and, as an earlier post points out, in Leftist Latin America. They've also been conducting joint war games with the ChiComs for the past 11 years, in obvious preparation for war with us and our allies. And this began before Comrade Obama emerged on the scene.

Now that the Russians have kicked up a firestorm of protest in the West for bombing a humanitarian convoy to relieve Allepo, they have an excuse to back off their nuclear commitments.
