I live in the State of Washington. I own my own home, own a vehicle that is paid for, and by Christmas this year I will be homeless.
Why?
Because the State of Washington taxes heavily to pay for its socialism, that’s why. My social security can not pay the property taxes on my house. So the county will be auctioning it this coming December.
Not everyone who is homeless have been drug users. I know I haven’t, and neither am I scum.
Will you get enough out of it to buy a motor home?
Washington state in the mid 60’s was a wonderful place. What happened?
All the hard working piney’s, those people who lived tthrough the great depression, WWII, etc... raised their families and passed away. And they dutifully voted democrat because FDR saw them through the hard times, gave them hardworking jobs with the CCC and the New Deal, building dams, cutting roads, war industry boomed, logging was king,
, the natural resourses on land and sea were being harvested and life was good.
And they kept voting democrat...
And the kept on voting democrat...
And then things got real...
Sorry to hear about your plight, but can't you sell your home rather tan lose it ?
I'm glad you brought this up and I feel for you. Under Obama it is the middle class who are the victims as they are being wiped out. They make a significant portion of the new homeless - people who worked hard and played by the rules all their life. One of today's most under reported stories is the epidemic of suicides among white, middle age formerly middle class people who have been destroyed by Obama.
Try a reverse mortgage.
Sell your house and move down here to the north woods
Is Social Security all that you are living on? If so that was very bad planning on your part. It was also bad planning to let things go this far. You could have sold your house, paid off your tax debt and used the rest to move to a place with a lower cost of living. The good news is that when your house is sold there still should be some left over. You need to leave Washington State.
The county I live in (Prince William County, VA - about 20 miles south of Washington DC), provides property tax relief for low income retirees.
Isn’t similar relief available to you from King County?
