you should just be BILLED for it and it should be an outstanding debt which can be treated like any other uncollected debt until you pay the thing.

Why was this so hard?>>>. i don’t think that is a moral approach. in the old days Hospitals and other necessary services had charities pay for the ones that couldn’t pay. government essentially outlawed charities

There is no charity out there that can pay for the uninsured, the cost is too high. Not only that, it is quite naive to think that people will pay their medical bills. Go walk into an ER at 11 PM. The people there are mostly illegal, drug addicts, trash. They are not going to pay their bills.

Well yes if you got a bill you couldn’t pay you could ask for charitable help or make payments, etc.
