I’m talking about “jive talking”, bro. Call me a Bee Gee if you want, but “nothing jives” means “nothing works (together)” or “Nothing makes senses”.
There is also “shucking and jiving” and I don’t mean oysters.
“Jib” is more nautical language as in “lower the jib”.
Now, “vibes” is a great word. “He’s got good vibes”. “This place has good vibes”. A musician has good vibes.
Nobody says he has good “jibes”.
Just playing around. English is a great language to create new meanings for old spellings.
How horrible. If the charge is true, the perp belongs in jail.
In contrast to the recent atrocious polls in the MO Gubernatorial race (rat up 16), new poll by the same people (Remington research) has Eric Grietens (R) down only 3.
