The fatal police shooting of a Ugandan refugee who drew something from his pocket and extended his hands in a "shooting stance" happened about a minute after officers in a San Diego suburb arrived at the scene where a mentally unstable man was reportedly walking in traffic, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

The race on the deceased didn’t matter it was the behavior which got him shot and it is documented in pictures. The cop that shop him was the one being aimed at. God help the other cop with the Taser if it had been a real gun. What a good guy but dead just the same.
Obama could put an end to this if he just took the time to say “Tragic incident, disturbed man threatened police with cylindrical device and refused their orders. Police have a right to defend themselves. Let’s watch the evidence as it comes out before getting ourselves in more trouble”. Instead he encourages continued disrespect of authority by giving credence to the discredited claims of BLM.
That being said, I can certainly understand the edginess for both police and black citizens. This situation is just going to get worse.
ditto
What America clearly needs is lots more mentally-ill Ugandan refugees.
Did both officers have both types of weapons on them at the time? Maybe the one officer who shot the fire-arm was not armed with a stun-gun, or was not within range of a stun-gun, and thus did not have that option.
Regards,
Isn’t it great? Our government is not only importing mass murdering terrorist into our towns, but dangerously mentally ill individuals as well.
When to they start strafing us?
The cop on the left shot the suspect because the suspect quickly raised both arm in a shooting stance and engaged him. And it was the cop on the left who the suspect directed his shooting/pointing stance at. That's why the cop on the left engaged and shot him.
It was a good shoot!
100%
The one with the Tazer was further away. Distance makes any situation seem less dangerous.
I believe the story said that the one with the Taser was actually a little further away than the one with the pistol. And I would expect that two officers from the same police force would be armed identically.
Hopefully there's dashcam or bodycam video on this.
Pretty much sums it up.
