“How about arrest him?”
As I understand it, the FBI Director is “appointed by the President” for a ten-year term that he can’t recind, so arresting him for criminal acts is the best way to get him out of his chair. Then prosecute and jail him.
Nope. He does serve for a ten year term, but he serves “at the pleasure of the president”.
It’s unusual to fire the FBI director, but it’s been done and if anyone deserves the boot it’s James Comey.
I believe that a president can fire the head of the FBI.
Q. FBI Director Robert Mueller, who is serving a 10-year term, has come under fire for covering up the bureau’s lapses before Sept. 11. Can he be fired?
A. Yes. The president may remove a director with adequate cause. President Clinton dismissed Director William Sessions halfway through his term on charges that Sessions misused official resourcessuch as using FBI aircraft for personal trips.
sure he can....all president trump needs is a pen and an executive order that’s what obozo does. then wait for the congress to take it to court.......not gonna happen.
Can congress impeach him?
I can’t imagine that someone could be guaranteed a 10 year term no matter what they do.
